Checklist for OpenModelica Release

When a release of OpenModelica should be made, the following checklist should be used.
1. Update the release notes and the status notes and check in.
2. Check out the trunk (HEAD) from subversion.
3. Compile it in release mode
4. Run the testsuite and make sure that no test fails.
5. Make a subversion tag, i.e. a copy of the trunk, corresponding to the release name. For instance, svn copy svn+ssh://user@remote.ida.liu.se:/home/pelab/subversion/modelica/openmodelica/trunk/ svn+ssh://user@remote.ida.liu.se:/home/pelab/subversion/modelica/openmodelica/tags/release-1.2 -m "Tagging the release 1.2" 

You can also specify a revision that you want to tag.

6. Make the installation file and source distribution from the tagged version.
7. Put the release on the web.
8. Announce the release on OpenModelica-announce@ida.liu.se
